This years "Soup"er Bowl of Caring will be on Sunday, February 12. Since it began in 1990, the "Soup"er Bowl of Caring Sunday has united communities from across the country to "Tackle Hunger" in their local areas. The Youth of Tabernacle have done this each year by supporting our local HOPE food bank. This year, along with the monetary donation that we will take up on February 12th, we would also like to donate food items as well. Our goal for Tabernacle this year is 300 food items. Yes, 300!! It may sound like a lot, but if we bring in those donations starting this Sunday, January 22nd, then I know we can meet this goal. If each member can bring in just 3 cans each Sunday from now until February 12th, we will meet our goal in providing food to needy families in Lancaster County. There will be a donation box for the food items in the Narthex and at the front of the church. Please add this need to your weekly grocery shopping list and also make sure that the expiration dates will last through the end of February at the earliest. The HOPE Food Bank has always been a priority for Tabernacle, so let's continue that tradition and support.
Please speak to Leslie, Dwayne, or any of our Youth and College students if you have any questions.
We will keep a running tally that Tricia will send out each week of how many items we have and how many we need to reach our goal of 300 items.
Choir practice is held each Wednesday at 7:30pm.
